The FSA has published its latest guide on the Retail Distribution Review in response to calls for help from the industry (and incidentally which reports that firms believe that implementing the RDR ‘has been a very positive experience’).
Topics covered include, of course, ‘independent advice’ (which will require a firm to consider the full range of retail products relevant to the client’s risk appetite); charging structure; and qualifications. The guide also provides links to further material, including FAQs, and the offer to contact the FSA to discuss any RDR related matters where firms are still unclear about certain aspects.
