Richard Strike is a former police officer and financial investigator with 15 years of experience in UK law enforcement, specializing in complex fraud, money laundering, and asset recovery. His expertise lies in virtual asset (VA) training and investigations, and he frequently delivers training to international law enforcement and investigative agencies. As a Certified Training and Investigation Partner of Chainalysis, Richard conducts certification courses and leads the Gentium team, which is also a Certified Investigation Partner of Chainalysis. This allows him to undertake private investigations on behalf of Chainalysis clients as well as public and private entities. 

Richard manages the National Police Chief Council’s contract for the recovery, storage, and realization of cryptocurrency recovered by UK law enforcement and government departments. He leads international training and mentoring programs conducted by Gentium, supporting investigators from regions including the Balkans, Ghana, Tunisia, and Trinidad & Tobago. His role involves providing critical support for peer reviews and investigations following accredited training. Richard also provides training in OSINT techniques and blockchain analysis. He serves as a Director in GentiumUK Limited as well as a Director and Compliance Officer for ComplyCrypto Depository Limited, an FCA-regulated VASP.
