Complyport is seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to manage the sales process from start to finish for our RegTech solutions. The successful candidate will be based at our London office and will lead a strategic partnership established with MAP FinTech (UK), an awarded regulatory technology provider to the global financial services industry and member of the Complyport Associate Programme.
The Position
As the Senior RegTech Business Development Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for improving and growing the regulatory technology business at Complyport, by fostering and developing relationships with current, new customers and other partners, expanding the business through developing its reputation and reach and increasing profitability through strategic planning and positioning in the market.
RegTech solutions: EMIR, MiFID II/MiFIR, SFTR, DAC6, FATCA/CRS, Best Execution Monitoring, RTS 27/28 reporting, AML Transaction Monitoring and Screening, Trade Surveillance (Market Abuse), and eKYC (Screening, eIDV, Document Authentication).
The appointed professional will be expected to:
- Achieve and exceed revenue goals set by the Board
- Prepare analytical and performance reports as required for Management and Board purposes
- Participate in the development, proposal and execution of the company’s market/business development strategy
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the company’s services, products and brand awareness
- Analyse business processes and identify opportunities to generate additional revenue
- Understand customer’s needs and be able to respond effectively to them
- Build relationships with the decision makers of potential clients
- Identify new business opportunities – including new markets, trends, customers, products and services
- Participate in the negotiation of terms and deal closing
- Generate sales leads, plan and pitch
- Monitor client retention
- Research and prospect for new sales and referral partners to ensure a robust pipeline of engagements within the market
- Liaising with the Head of the Marketing Department for implementing the firm’s overall marketing strategy
- Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs
- Maintain up to date CRM lists
- Maintain a good understanding of Complyport’s and MAP FinTech’s products or services
- Attend seminars, conferences and events, where appropriate
- Provide demos of the company’s products/solutions, whenever required.

- Computer literacy with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word
Minimum Requirements
- At least 5 years of business development experience in the Financial and/or Technology industries
- The following skills/knowledge would be considered as an important advantage:
- Professional experience in the area of regulatory reporting and the RegTech Products we offer: EMIR, MiFID II/MiFIR, SFTR, DAC6, FATCA/CRS, Best Execution Monitoring, RTS 27/28 reporting, AML Transaction Monitoring and Screening, Trade Surveillance (Market Abuse), and eKYC
- Previous experience and/or knowledge of financial derivatives instruments, resulting from a previous working environment within the financial services sector
- Previous business development experience in the Regulatory Technology industry
